Thanksgiving Dinner

For Thanksgiving dinner this year we decided to go with Baked Stuffed Lobsters instead of the traditional turkey dinner.

I got the idea for Baked Stuffed Lobsters after watching an episode of Diners, Drive-in and Dives.

Food always taste better when you haven't lifted a finger preparing it...JCW completely spoiled us by doing all of the cooking.

For dessert SAS made her famous Monkey Bread.

That lobster looks so delicious. I wish we did the same this Thanksgiving (I'm not a huge fan of turkey). Jealous! xo, LP

We don’t have an exact recipe (which drives JCW crazy) but its pretty much the same as Becky’s stuffed lobsters (see the video on the link). We used a ritz cracker stuffing but doubled the shrimp, scallops, and crab meat...we omitted the fish. JCW also put the lobsters in the freezer before stuffing them, to make it more humane...I wouldn’t go near the kitchen!

The best part about this dinner was that my mom insisted we each have half a stick of butter...she is a bit of a Paula Dean when it comes to pushing butter!

Hannah, I am not sure yet what’s on the menu for Christmas!
xx

Love the Blue Willow. It looks like Johnson Brothers, is it? I have JB Blue Willow. I keep trying to add to it, but have a hard time finding pieces other than the standard place setting pieces.

Looks gorgeous--you must share the lobster recipe! We make salmon with a bourbon-brown sugar glaze every year in lieu of turkey!
