Tory Burch's Hamptons Home

Tory Burch's Southampton home is absolutely breathtaking. I love how traditional the estate is from the boxwoods to the slate roof. She has a knack for collecting after growing up surrounded by her parents antique collections. Tory is in the process of adding a skateboard ramp and an outdoor pizza oven to the house for her three boys.

I just imagined my children growing up here, and then coming back with their families” -Tory Burch

New Additions

Sunday night is by far my favorite night of the week. It's the one night we do nothing but get takeout, watch movies and relax. I have decided to stop posting on Mondays in order to give my day of rest the fullest amount of attention possible.

Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you on Tuesday! xx

Chick Beer

At the Junior League Sale I tried Chick Beer. Chick Beer was founded in 2011 in Easton, MD. Chick Beer only has 97 calories and 3.5 carbs per bottle and they even donate 5% of their profits to charities that empower women.

It's about time someone came out with a beer that's signature color is pink.

Cheers to Chick Beer!

Junior League Boutique Warehouse Sale

I went to the Junior League of Baltimore's Boutique Warehouse Sale with Lawyer Liz.

Sassanova had lots of shoes for sale.

Yoicks booth was filled with all sorts of goodies including two of my favorites Barbour and Bird Dog Bay.

J.McLaughlin brought a great selection of belts.

They were practically giving away bowties.

There were plenty of items that got me in the mood for spring and summer like Tkees...

 Scout Bags...

and one of the biggest trends right now, colored denim.

It was fun to munch on hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants like the Oceanaire Seafood Room.

The silent auction lots were very impressive.

I even met a reader who was wearing a Lilly Pulitzer National Aquarium Scarf tied in a bow. This was by far the most creative way I had ever seen anyone wear a Murfee scarf.

No shopping event is complete without sweets.

To be kept in the loop about upcoming events be sure to check out the Junior League's website.

Happy Spring! I am so ready for warm weather, flowers in bloom, tailgates, green grass and a brighter wardrobe! What are you looking forward to this spring?

Tennis Anyone?

I am loving the Kate Spade Tennis Collection for Spring.

 Hold Court Bag

Lucille Ruffle Top

 Kissing Tennis Racquet Belt

 On the Ball Coin Purse

 Make a Racquet Bag

Gia Cosmetic Bag

I took tennis lessons every Friday in the 5th grade. We got to run around the tennis club unsupervised and I don't think anyone actually signed up to work on their tennis skills. Our main focus was terrorizing the poor lady that ran the snack bar...long story short my tennis skills are not what they should be.

The Proposal

Before lunch we headed further down the beach to Cape Henlopen Park.

We decided to take our usual summertime walk to the WWII watch towers and back.

There was barely anyone on the beach because of the wind. We did see two people walking back from the towers and they took our picture...I should have known something was up because JCW was being a little too accommodating.

If I had to pick any beach or any location that I considered to be "our place" it would be the watch tower coastline.

Right after snapping this picture, I turned around to find JCW directly behind me down on one knee. I was completely surprised and didn't hear him because of the wind. He had a large grin on his face and I couldn't stop smiling...the rest is history!

 Of course I said yes.

We made our way back in 30 knots of wind and there wasn't a soul in sight. There was something so special about walking on the empty beach surrounded by nothing but sky, sea and sand. Just as we were leaving a couple was walking onto the beach and we told them the news.

I was beaming and happily agreed to go to Arena's for celebratory Death Fries. I am not sure if it was the fact that we had just gotten engaged or if the Death Fries really were the most delicious thing I had ever tasted? It is also unclear if JCW was excited about being engaged or excited about the Death Fries? He sent this picture to our friends with the caption "Erin really liked the death fries"...it was so much fun to see who noticed the ring and who noticed that there was bacon on the fries. Certain friends thought JCW had actually proposed over Death Fries...I don't need to tell you how fitting of an engagement announcement this was for JCW. We spent the rest of the day chatting and texting with family and friends, followed by a lovely dinner at The Cultured Pearl.

The following day on our way home we stopped at Dixie's Parent's house so the boys could smoke a cigar.

Special thanks to JCW for asking me to spend the rest of my life with him...it's already been an adventure and I am ready for much, much more! I also feel very blessed to be able to share this special time with all of you. xx
